Global Players, Tokyo Lessons: English-Speaking Soccer Coaching in Japan

Over the years, many families have found my private lessons after watching my videos on YouTube — not only from Japan, but from the U.S. mainland, Hawaii, Hong Kong, and Canada.

When they come for a session, it’s very common to see immediate change:

  • Stronger and more accurate kicking

  • Sharper dribbling

  • Head up while controlling the ball

These are not “miracles,” but the result of a clear, repeatable teaching method.

In recent years, Japanese soccer has gained more respect in the United States, especially after Japan’s famous victory over Spain. I hear many stories of my students who are now playing in San Francisco, New York, Florida, and other areas in the U.S., doing very well in their teams.

Some students work with me online, receiving specific assignments and feedback.

I also currently coach a player in Guam who was selected for the Guam representative team — even moving up an age category.

Thanks to smartphones and online tools, English-language coaching is very realistic now.

My method is highly logical and reproducible, so even when it is translated into English, the training remains clear and effective. If necessary, we can also work with an interpreter, but even with my own “simple English,” many players have improved a lot.

My experience playing and studying football in Brazil also plays a big role in how I coach:

  • Understanding different football cultures

  • Blending Japanese detail with Latin creativity

  • Teaching not just technique, but game intelligence and confidence

If your child is in elementary school, junior high, or high school, and you are looking for English-friendly private soccer lessons in Japan, please feel free to contact me.

Many families visit Japan from abroad just to train:

from Singapore, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Germany, Sweden, Korea, China, and more.

If you are planning a trip to Japan and would like to combine it with serious, personalized soccer training, I would be happy to help.

Please feel free to reach out any time.
